The Party for Social and Economic Progress POEN, supports and welcomes the act of signing the so- called Prespa agreement, which took place yesterday in the small place Psarades (Nivitsi) in the Greek part of the Prespa region, which should put an end to the one-decade name dispute and other misunderstandings between the two counties form the past.
The solution and the process we went through brought us a friend, which until yesterday was not considered such. We also believe that by jointly building prosperity through stronger economic co-operation, it will ease trade, investment, people flow and technological advancement. As a political party engaged in social and economic progress of the country and all citizens of the Republic of Macedonia, we believe that this act will open a way for cooperation and our country will finally receive a date for starting the negotiations for a full member of the EU, as well as an invitation for NATO membership. The Party of Social and Economic Progress supports and respects the various views and opinions related to the Prespa Agreement, but condemns the violence of protests, as well as hate speech, especially on social networks. We call on all citizens of the Republic of Macedonia to remain distinct in expressing their opinion, respecting the opinion of the people and through dialogue and understanding to be, as a European country and as citizens with European manners, to complete the process of European and Atlantic integration, which our country deserves.
